Is there any medical condition for which one might be prescribed a medication which would be normal and indicated for a sufferer of some ailment, yet might kill a non-sufferer? Which would make a good suicide pill under certain circumstances.
This idea came up while watching a show recently where a high-value older kidnapee was in distress... is there any medical condition for which one might be prescribed a medication which would be normal and indicated for a sufferer of some ailment, yet might kill a non-sufferer? Basically, in this plot-line in my own head, I'm the kidnapee, and I request medication for X ailment, which if I had X, would be a thing I would be taking, but if I did not have X, the medication might actually kill me, e.g. a suicide pill?

This post was deleted for the following reason: Sorry, I understand that this is phrased to be asking about a possible plot line sort of thing, but it still involves a concrete question about medication that can be used for suicide, which is against our guidelines. -- taz
