How do I avoid paying taxes on an international purchase?

I have a friend in the US at the moment and thought I would take advantage by having him pick up a Macbook for me and bring it back with him to Korea (where I am). I'm wondering if there's any way to avoid having to pay taxes upon his return. Should I have him unbox the Macbook? Have him state the item is for himself and not a friend?
