Now I hate your kids. It's your own fault.

I have friends who post no fewer than 10 pictures a day of their kid. Everyday. The worst offenders have a 6yo, so it's not slowing down anytime soon. Worse, they're a couple - so it's 20 or so pics/videos of her everyday. They're the worst offenders, but not the only offenders. And I can't take anymore.

Apologies ahead for a quick rant. But it's a long time coming.

It's so over the top. When there's a special event, it can double. I really can't imagine why they think 10 or more pictures EVERY day - in addition to four or five "and this GENIUS thing he/she said!!!!" - is reasonable.

Don't get me started on TWT.

(Also, I'm not in the least interested in hearing justifications for this. I'm not a total monster - one woman I am a distant acquaintance of has a toddler with a lot of disabilities and I am a sucker for the two or three photos of her beaming at some flowers in the garden or eating a cupcake. I'm not completely made of stone.)

I wish parents would take it upon themselves to create special friends groups they could geek out to. Facial-recognition software would be heaven. "Limit this face to once a month."

They're insane but they are my friends; some very close. So they're going to stay being my friends and I don't want to cause bad blood over this. I'll unfollow (not unfriend) them first - it's only five or six that are this overboard.

I like reading about other things going on in their lives and wouldn't mind a couple pictures or so a day.

Are there any plugins that allow you to be as specific as "this friend's photos?" FB used to have the option of "show less from this friend," but I can't find it anymore. I would gladly lose all their photos if it means still having text updates.

Thanks!

I think choosing "I don't want to see this" from the little gray arrow drop down on the right side of the post gives you a follow up box to give more info, which is the current replacement for the "show less" option they used to have...

Yeah, that little gray arrow gives me both "I don't want to see this" and "Unfollow [Name]" as options. I don't think I've ever experienced having people's news pop up in my feed after I'd unfollowed them. It's not the same as "Unfriend," either.
