Any CONVINCING evidence that monogamous men exist?

Currently in the process of divorcing a man who vowed to grow old with me - even saved his virginity for me until we were married - and then decided he is polyamorous after almost a decade of marriage. He happily gave up our family, our romance, and our friendship for a more free-loving lifestyle, and I am happy he is gone...BUT...

I want to believe in love and romance, but all signs point to men not desiring monogamy. After investing and sacrificing so much for love, and being utterly crushed, I don't think I could handle another such disappointment.

The idea of life without romance seems so...bleak, but I don't want to have my heart torn apart like that again. Is there any GOOD reason not to just give up and make a happy life alone?
