Too fond of the blue (and green)

On my breaks at work, which are depressingly few, I like to skim through askmetafilter and metafilter (Clearly; here I am!). Traditionally this hasn't been a problem; now my desk is in a more visible location. Is there some web trick that will turn the blue and green to black and white?
I've recently been relocated from my squirrel-hole cube to an area where people pass behind me a lot more often, and my screen is the colorful bit of local detail that catches their eyes. The blue and green backgrounds tend to stand out a lot. Part of my job is spending time on the web, but in vaguely official/formal spaces where black text on white backgrounds is the norm. Is there an easy way to change the blue and green to black-and-white, without resorting to an entirely different browser?
If it helps, I usually use the latest version of Chrome on a machine running Windows XP.
I'm not really concerned about any other ways my extracurricular crowdsourcing might be detected; our company doesn't tend to get up in our business at the IT level. I just don't want it to be so easy for casual eyes to note that I'm reading about black widow spider bites and the facebook dramas of total strangers.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Heya, glad this got you your answer and no big deal or anything, but for future reference questions about how the site work really are more appropriate for Metatalk rather than Ask Metafilter. -- cortex
Best answer: Unless I am totally missing something about the question, have you changed it to the plain theme in settings?

Best answer: I'm not sure this question should be in AskMe, but there is a plain theme -- you can enable it by clicking "My Profile", then "edit profile," then selecting "plain."

I don't worry about it. If someone happens by and asks, I'm on an "industry message board." Since I'm the Salesforce.com and Excel poobah around here, they nod knowingly and move on.

Response by poster: Wow. This looks... really bizarre.
Thanks for the easy fix! I wonder what other magic lies in the mysterious Settings Area...

For reference, also consult "the professional white background".
