Questions below...

1) Considering both are infantry, which is more dangerous and why: E-4 vs O-1.

2) Which is more rewarding in your opinion?

2) What is the difference between Special Forces and Rangers? And is it true that SF training is far more difficult and longer, why is this?

3) In OCS, if you are assigned an MOS/Specialization you do not want, can you switch (without trading with someone)? What are the chances of that?

4) If a recruiter says he does not have an OCS opening or an 11x Option 40, should I look at other recruiters or is he speaking on behalf of the nation? If so, how long should I wait before speaking to him again?

5) What kind of a signing bonus can I expect if I'm a college grad and pass the asvab with fly colors and get a nearly perfect score on the physical exams pt? What other factors are there? Is negotiation considered insulting to the recruiter?

6) How does Airborne/RASP work w/ an option 40? Are they available at will throughout my contract, or are they mandatory after first tour or are they mandatory after AIT?

7) Can an O-1+ go on to be a full fledged Ranger or only an enlisted soldier?

8) Can you request a duty station as part of your contract? If so, what is the likelihood that a 11x non German or Dutch speaker could get stationed in Germany or Netherlands?

9) How do you stand out in the Army? Lack of mistakes? Excellence? How many opportunities are there to display bravery, honor, etc?

10) Out of an 8 year contract how many years are required to be active duty for an active duty contract?

11) Do you have to live on base or can you live near-base? Is housing and food -really- provided or is it kind of a joke?

12) What (free or paid) military training is available to post college graduates who have not joined the army yet?

Thanks in advance
