What would happen if Chinese workers went on strike en masse?

If the Chinese workers were simultaneously aware of their labor's over-exploitation and the power of aggregate effect of their contribution (or lack thereof) to global capitalist system would they go on strike (or threaten to do so) for bettering their working conditions and increasing salaries? Or instead, being loyal nationalists would they go on sacrificing themselves for the hypothetical-sacred-state and the upcoming middle-class posterity?
