So, today you mind F@^%ed a Time Traveler...how?

So today you met a time traveler, and with out trying, you expectantly mind F@^%ed him, because he came across an everyday something in our society that he couldn't wrap his mind around. What was it?

The other day I yelled, down the stairs to my SO, "WINDOWS IS BEING A BITCH!", meaning that Windows8 is acting up again, and may or may not do thing that it should do. When I walked back into the room, I had a 2 second thought, if Thomas Jefferson had been setting on my couch, as a time traveler, and heard me say windows is being a bitch, he would hear "Windows...Is...Being...A...Bitch?" He'd know all those words, yet be unsure how panes of glass could be a female dog, or derogatorily term for women. I am sure he would gather the context of frustration, and inflection...but like I said. windows is being a bitch. What's he do, inspect the windows?
no offence meant to women, all offence meant to windows

Another example I have: While stopped yesterday at a stoplight, I was overwhelmed at all the words on everydamnthing. For as far as I could see, in every direction, on every surface, and plenty of surfaces that were erected to display only words, there were words. There was more words than people, paint, or plaster. (Every car as a *word* on it with their license plates) I imagined someone from 1850 being in the car with me, and assuming that they didn't instantly freak out over cars, than the words would have gotten them.
Of the same note; I think Romans would be more comfortable with all the words, so people from their time period would freak out over something different, although I doubt it's our economic-social policies.

I hope this is a fun question for everybody. It could be someone from the future or the past, but the mind f@^% part HAS to be something that is in our current society.

Last night I met someone from ______ & he flipped-the-f@^% out over _________!

This post was deleted for the following reason: For this to work as a question on Ask Metafilter it needs to be more concrete as well as more coherent, I'm afraid. Open-ended hypotheticals don't work very well here, please see the FAQ on this. -- goodnewsfortheinsane
