Best Year of TV - Ever?

What was the best year ever for scripted TV? The rules: Not a season, a year. Any 12 month period, any channel. No reruns allowed.
My vote goes for June 2007-May 2008. It seemed like a dark time for TV: Arrested Development, West Wing, and Deadwood all ended in 2006, unscripted TV was running rampant, and then came the writer's strike. And yet...here's what you saw if you tuned in during this golden year of television:
-The Sopranos (series finale 6/10/07)
-Lost (fabulous season 4)
-Madmen (series premiere 7/10/07)
-Breaking Bad (series premiere 1/20/08)
-The Wire (including the series finale in March '08)
-And did I mention Dexter, Weeds, Battlestar Galactica, and Friday Night Lights? All aired new episodes during this year.
And there were tons of great comedies as well: Big Bang Theory (premiered fall of '07), The Office, 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother (slapsgiving!), Curb Your Enthusiasm, Desperate Housewives, Scrubs, Family Guy, The Simpsons
So what's your opinion? Can you find a year that can top this?
