1. How does flooding damage buildings? and 2. Ideas, discussions on preventive codes, zoning, planning?
How does saltwater, sewage and the surge power affect buildings? How does a Building Inspector evaluate the structure? (foundation, building systems, toxicity, drywall rot, electrical)
How are Building and Zoning Departments, and smart builders/developers/ architects getting beyond the mindset of simply constructing tougher walls, and thinking about resiliency/ adaptation?
