Time/temp/solar: What is solar?

Time/temp/solar display: what is the solar telling me?

Today I saw a display on a building that gave the time, the temperature, and then "solar" followed by a number in kw. What is this last thing measuring? (I'm in Seattle if it matters.)

Best answer: Did the building have solar panels? It could have been how much power the solar panels were generating.

Best answer: I know the building you mean! And yes, it refers to the amount of power the solar panels are generating at that moment.
