CEO: Cruel, Evil Oppressor.

Has the corporate grind ground you into a pile of pink slime? Did your ex-company sever your limbs from your body along with your severance package? Share your workplace horror stories here.

Up to now I've managed never to have a corporate position. (By "corporate position" I mean any large big-name company, be it global, national, regional or even just a well-known local outfit.)

Most likely it's a blessing that I've never slaved for Big Biz, but curious minds always wonder. And so here I am, wondering what it would be like to work behind the glass walls of a major company or Fortune 500 headquarters.

So without going into such specifics that coworkers can sniff you out and catch you airing out your laundry on the 'net, but of course without leaving out any salient, interesting or dirty details, tell me stories / give me anecdotes that reflect how awful it can be to work in a corporate setting. It can be about office politics, corruption, annoying coworkers, idiotic bosses or anything else. It can be about anything that has happened to you, your colleagues or anyone you know, as long as it was bad. And it actually happened.

Just remind me that a corporate job is not necessarily as great as it may seem.

PS I am not just looking for "I hate my boss for no apparent reason except that I have anger issues" type complaints but more substantial stuff. Thanks.
