Does Jax really walk that way?

I got hooked on "Sons of Anarchy" reruns. Some great acting, and fine straight-ahead storytelling. How 'bout that Gemma! But tell me, is Charlie Hunnam (who I know is a Brit, by the way) swaggering as part of the role he plays (Jax) , or is he limping because of a real-life disability, or does he just walk that way? Once I noticed, it started driving me nuts. Have unearthed zippo on the web.

It's just acting. He doesn't limp in any other roles. Or at least he doesn't in Queer as Folk (where you will certainly see enough of him to check in detail for any deformities) or Nicholas Nickleby.

I believe it is part of the character as he didn't walk like that in Undeclared or Queer as Folk. I would think that it f it were real it would be a pretty recent development and there would be news about it somewhere. I couldn't find anything about the actor having had an accident in a quick google search.

I've never seen it in any of his other roles. I thought it was his version of a gangsta stroll.

The George Jefferson walk? It's part of his character.

Response by poster: That's what I guessed. Curiosity satisfied. Thanks to all.
