Those LOLCats are fun, but I want to know what their real names are.

Are there any pet brag sites I can visit to read about and see pictures of other peoples' animals?

I love it when MeFites post animal questions with pictures. I love reading about their pet personalities and seeing a picture to match.

Are there any websites that have pages and pages of that kind of thing? Like a profile with a picture.

I'd be in heaven if there was a site with pages and pages of funny stories and pictures to go along with 'em.

I know about LOLDogs and LOLCats, DailySquee, and sites like that. I'm looking for more than just pictures though.

I'm not interested in PetFinder or other adoption sites. I already have a dog and I don't need another one right now. Looking at those sites makes me feel bad for all the dogs who don't have homes yet. I want to see cute animals that are happy and healthy.

(If it's not to ChatFiltery I would love to hear about and see other MeFite pets!!)

Cats of MeFi is one, though without the stories. (There should be stories!)

Response by poster: Dogster is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for!

You're right brina, Cats of MeFi is fun but really needs stories to make it perfect.

I have friends on Facebook that keep my entertained with pet stories and pictures, but like a drug I just can't get enough.

Best answer: I love lovelovelove dogblog. The stories that he tells about the dogs are clearly truth of a higher, unseen realm.

Oh, I love the dogblog so hard.

Also, I had no idea there was a "cats of metafilter" flickr group! I MUST AFFLICT YOU WITH MY CAT PICTURES!

Oh, Rebecca's War Dog of the Week. Occasionally has sad stories, but mostly good stories of good dogs. The best one lately is this post about a parachuting dog and his handler.

Response by poster: I was also directed to this site: From Alone to Home. It's full of heartwarming stories of adopted animals in their new homes.
