Good posture corrective brace

Can you recommend a good posture corrective brace? Generally, I have a slight "hunched over the computer" posture (more so when I'm actually at the computer), and would like to correct it. I looked at this one, which seems to have good reviews, but wanted to ask for an opinion before I buy something that may potentially have side effects on my back.

Best answer: PBZM's all-purpose "How can I improve my posture" response.

Srsly. Egoscue changed my and Lexi's lives after our last couple of bone-cracking, posture-wrecking accidents. Lexi spontaneously pulled herself off Vicodin & Tylenol w/ Codeine 4 days after starting the exercises in Pain Free.

Posture brace, bad. Strength, alignment, and movement, good.

Best answer: I do not have a suggestion for a brace, but I learned proper posture after somebody recommended this video on Alexander technique on sitting properly. Almost immediately the right way to sit in front of a computer clicked for me: no more back or shoulder pain, no more fatigue either!

Give it a try, it is very easy and intuitive.

Posture isn't something you can fix with a brace--you need to fix the underlying mobility issues and muscular weaknesses that are leading to your bad posture, and a brace will only hold the muscles in place, not actually strengthen them.

I asked a similar question two months ago.
