Would you scan a book for me in a Boston Public Library branch?

Need a book scanned or photocopied from Boston Public Library's central branch... What would you charge for this service? :)
Here's the deal... My wife simply loves this book series called, "Miss Melville" by Evelyn E. Smith.
I want to surprise the hell out of her by getting my hands on a (digital?) copy of this book, but this book hasn't really been published. There's a copy (I believe it's a writer's copy) at the Boston Public Library's Central Branch, but I live in Canada, so it's a bit out of the question. It's also an "in-library only" book, because it's rare.
The book in question is called "Miss Melville Runs For Cover", and I'd like to get someone to photocopy or scan it for me. Would you (or someone you know) do this for me? How much would you charge?
The book's information is available here:

This post was deleted for the following reason: you need to put this in Jobs. It doesn't bleong here. -- jessamyn
It may be extremely difficult to photocopy a noncirculating book, as this is, whether in whole or in part. It depends on the reading room, whether or not readers can actually access photocopiers themselves in the reading room, &c. Also, scanning is almost certainly a no-no, but again, that depends on the library's policies. And this book is still under copyright, so the restrictions on photocopying are likely to be fairly brutal for your purposes.

Response by poster: The author is dead, and this book is unlikely to actually see the light of day anywhere else, unfortunately. I just thought it'd be nice to actually let someone who would appreciate this book read it. :D

Yes, from what I've seen, libraries generally frown on photocopying complete books.
A different direction: four LibraryThing members have copies they might be willing to lend to you.

Response by poster: Thanks guys. :)
I've checked LibraryThing, and I'll keep doing so... :)
As for the publisher, I tried contacting them, and they said that it's never been published, and the copy in the library is probably a writer's copy. They were actually the ones who suggested I get someone to go and photocopy it. :D
