Hey, MeFi, could you take a quick look at my resume for me? Any input would be fantastic.
Here's my resume in PDF form.
I'd be curious to hear your opinions or criticism regarding my resume.
I'm a little afraid there's too much text. I've done my best to have an action and result for every bullet point in "Professional Experience" but now I'm worried that the wall of text is overwhelming. I was initially shooting for one page but I don't know what I can take out in order to get it back down to that size. I'm afraid I'll have to cut out something important to get it down to that size.
Also, I'm not sure how I feel about the introductory professional summary, especially the bullet section. What do you think?
Any help would be great. I'm looking to socialize this resume tomorrow morning and I'm looking to get some last minute inputs.
Thanks!

Yes, way too much text. It's also too long - if you've only been working for 2-3 years, you really should not have a resume that's more than a page long.
Make one huge solid complete resume..make it 3 or 4 pages if you have to...but NEVER SUBMIT this one to potential employers. For each job you apply for, weed out the crap that isn't 100% pertinent to the job you are applying for. Cut it down to 1 page.
Yep, For each position, choose three-four bullet points from each job that are most impressive and best-suited to the position.

in short, customize and tailor every single resume you submit to the specific job you are looking for.
I totally agree with that. I literally was talking to someone about doing this not 4 hours ago.
However, a lot of the time, I'm handing out a resume to a connection and I have NO idea where it's going to travel. That seems to be how it works in the Department of Defense. It could end up in a place I never expected it to be. With that in mind, I'm having a hard time determining what to weed out and what to leave in.

You also need to quantify things - improved process x by y%; saved $x on project ABC; implemented part zyx of project in x% less time than allotted.
Also, forget the "here's what I want to do" part at the top. Replace it with solid reasons you're the person for the exact job you're applying for. As others have said, with only two years of experience, it shouldn't be longer than a page.
Be sure to list any secret/TS clearances you have.

I think it looks pretty good, but my suggestion when dealing with resumes' is always this..
