London. Unless I liked gay clubs, old people and shagging on cold and miserable beaches, in which case Brighton.
Manchester not a choice, this gives me sadface.

London. Jesus Christ, who would want to live in Brighton?

Brighton:
- Big enough to have plenty of stuff going on (music, clubs, sports, great restaurants) but small enough that most places are a 10-15 minute bus ride away.
- Also small enough that you can cycle most places easily enough, and main routes are fairly-well supplied with cycle lanes.
- Beach!
- Cheaper than London (this also goes for 99% of the Earth but there you go).
- Easy to get to London if you want to visit/commute (45-60 minutes on the train, 60-90 minute drive).
- Countryside (proper countryside, not just a big park) is about 10 minute drive/15 minute bus journey/20 minute cycle away.
- Pretty good public transport.
- Close to Gatwick (30 minute drive).
- Green Party MP! Woo.

Brighton. London is dirty, crowded and at this time of year trying to get anywhere is a symphony of sweaty sticky descents into hell.
