bike store hookup

Lost my bike store hookup. Anyone out there have access to Specialized mountain bikes at wholesale or pro-deal?
My friend who worked at a bike shop for years has moved on to more gainful employment (applause!). Unfortunately, I'm looking for a full suspension bike now and it's painful to pay retail. I know my LBS needs to make a living, but since I plan to build it myself and do my own repairs, a %25-40 markup is brutal. Is there anyone here who can help me make this connection again? PMs are welcome and the help would not go unrewarded.
