The Handyman Can, the Handyman Can

We need a handyman in the Princeton, NJ area. Qualifications are: competent, neat, honest, reliable. The problem seems to be that everyone wants to do serious remodeling, and we have more of a honey-do list. Tried Angie's List, but the names are mostly in the Philadelphia area.

I've used Mr. Handyman, and they are fantastic, and just what you are looking for:

They will do everything from wonky lightswitches to installing a new entry door - most of them are construction pros that have moved on to a Handyman franchise, so they have the knowledge, but not the need to do a total overhaul. They charge a 2 hour minimum, so make sure your list has enough to do on it!

I'd suggest you contact a Realtor. Ours had a list of several people she uses to do post-inspection "punch list" repairs and small upgrades.

If it is going to be a Realtor, make sure it is one you TRUST. I made the mistake of asking my Realtor for references for inspectors and repairmen, and they all were lousy. I highly suspect kickbacks were involved.
