Faceless Nuns in Childrens Book

Looking for a circa late 70's early 80's Children's Picture Book with faceless nuns. Hoping someone in the MeFi shared my same crazed childhood where aunts gave books for Christmas every.year

They were a team that went on adventures - they did not look creepy, but they were facial featureless.
I have been searching for years.

The books I had were hard cover and possibly published through Scholastic.. but I cannot be sure.

And YES I have asked my aunt.
