WikkaWiki Numerals

WikkaWiki question: Is there a workaround to the 'page names must begin with a letter' stipulation? More inside.
I have WikkaWiki v 1.1.6.7 running on my domain and all is good.
When I try to create a new page that begins with a number,
e.g:
mydomain.com/wiki/1
or
mydomain.com/wiki/1/edit
I get the following error:
'This page name is invalid. Valid page names must start with a letter and contain only letters and numbers.'
Is there a workaround for this? I'd like to create pages that start with numbers, and also pages that are numbers-only.
Thank you.

An alternative to torquemaniac's suggestion is to add a prefix like "N12321321312" & "N1" or an intelligible prefix if you like. Spelling out numbers doesn't really scale.

How about using the letter "p" to indicate "page" and naming them p1, p2, p37, p156, etc? Keeps the characters to a minimum while still abiding by their naming rules.
