Does David Miscavige believe that shit?

As a fan of infomercials, I've become fascinated by a video of "the ultimate ecclesiastical authority regarding the standard and pure application of L. Ron Hubbard’s religious technologies" addressing the "O.T. Summit 2007". It's a 3 hour pitch for a new edition of "LRH"'s books and he performs it flawlessly. [The clip wouldn't do it justice - even if it hadn't been made on what appears to be a TRS-80. Here is the whole thing from a DVD rip if you're as nuts as I am.] As meshuggeneh as his rap is, he's polished it to mirror smoothness.

Remembering the adage that the best salesman is one who believes in his product - and noting that his father delivered him into the cult when he was just 11 years old - I had to reckon with the unsettling possibility that his efficient administration of all the nastiness CoS is globally famous for resides comfortably in his compact skull alongside a sincere conviction that he's helping to save the planet.
