Hating the phone

Does anyone else want to escape or run screaming and laughing (after thoroughly stomping the phone) due to the political robocalls this last two weeks before the election?
They are just so annoying, and never affect my voting decisions. My phone number is on the do not call registry, and I still get them. I know I can file a complaint on the website, but am skeptical about anything actually being done about it.
Also, I wonder about how bad it must be in places like Ohio, Florida, and other really important swing states. My calls have mostly been about the local elections, not the presidential, so far.

I assume your question is "how do I avoid these?". Have you considered ditching your landline and going all cell? I, among millions of others have and I haven't recieved a non-personal call in years.*
*actually I do have a land line, but there is no phone on it--DSL only.

We haven't gotten robocalls (yet.) We have been inundated with calls from pollsters as well as live Obama supporters urging us to vote early. It's actually been fun to think my vote might actually count for something this year.

I have not received any political calls since switching to a VOIP service some years ago. Nor have I received many other cold calls.

Piggyback question: are you supposed to flag chatfilter questions as "noise" or "other?" I'm never sure.

(Ohioan here. Wish like crazy the do-not-call list applied, which apparently it does not. GRRR).
