Please help me identify this 1990s NYC song

Please help me identify this sort-of-instrumental club song with a Latin flavor that was huge on NYC radio in the mid-to-late nineties. More details inside.

Here is my own scat-singing approximation of what the hook of the song sounded like. Apologies in advance for my utter lack of groove-itude.

Let's see . . . what else . . . It would have been on the radio in 1996-1998 or thereabouts. I think it was on 103.5 a lot.

And that's pretty much all the information I have about this song.
