What would the Drake Equation be for works of science fiction like Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5, ect?
Maybe it's just me but I find the Drake Equation tons of fun to play with and a little depressing that Wikipedia says the best guess is only 2.3 other civilizations.
I would love to know if anyone had any thoughts about what it would be in fictional universes. Like guessing the number of jelly beans in a jar I wonder if you averaged the Drake Equation from different fictional universes if you would get a "wisdom of the crowd" effect that would end up being an accurate answer (not that there is any way to know today).
I know this question is really frivolous and silly but I hope others find this kind of speculation as fun as I do.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Yeah, this is pretty much chatfilter, and yeah, it'd be totally welcome over at Big Big Question. -- cortex
Response by poster: sigh... kind of a shame.. sorry for the bother.

That's pretty much the definition of one kind of chatfilter not allowed on Ask MetaFilter.
