A world without steel or iron

On the weekend I started writing when I got an idea in my head - what would happen if all the steel and (worked) iron disappeared from the world in one go? (Iron in the core, any un-mined iron, iron from meteorites etc is still there, otherwise the earth would pull apart - its only iron that has been worked, and any of its alloys, like steel, that have disappeared). I'm wondering what all would have vanished?

I quickly envisioned an apocalyptic scenario - no airplanes, cars, skyscrapers falling down as their steel supports vanished; hospitals would be emptied of beds and surgical implements and diagnostic machines; no knives or silverware (which is mostly stainless steel), pots and pans going away unless you were lucky enough to have aluminum or copper, but BBQs and stoves would not exist to cook on; no guns, no hammers or axes or saws, no fences to keep livestock in place.
I even thought of some 'hidden' things that would no longer exist - like eyeglasses. Even plastic ones are held together with stainless steel screws.
Can you think of any other (non-obvious) things that would disappear if there were no steel, no (worked) iron, or any other iron alloy?
Are there things that I think would not exist (like guns) that actually might, because they don't contain any iron/steel/iron alloy parts?
