Help finding a venue for a series of essays

I've come up with a series of essays, one a week. Unfortunately, I stopped writing 5 years ago so I'm unsure how I should proceed finding a platform for these essays.

The idea behind the series is "a year of saying yes." Every week, I do something I've wanted to but never did, generally because of fear. It doesn't have to be all HUGE crazy stuff like the aerial arts class I plan to take or kayaking around NYC, but there will be some insanity. There will also be smaller things like taking a cooking class.

I've already done two things (a cuddle party and a breakfast rave) and have notes.

So, should I just start this as a blog? Are there magazines, newspapers that would be interested in this? Part of the hook is that I am a 41 year old single woman. I'm also disabled, which I'm sure will factor into some of the essays.

I'm honestly really excited about the idea, but don't know how to proceed. Since metafilter has been such an awesome resource, I thought I would ask.
