old ask metafilter post on a new way of commenting on articles/blogs

there was a question on the green, probably in the last year, about what to name the process of a new way of commenting on articles/blogs where the comments, instead of being at the bottom of articles/blogs, were off on the right side next to the article when you clicked on a button. commenters could even comment on specific sentences or paragraphs. it seemed to be a new way of formatting comments for blogs, etc. for the life of me i can't find that ask metafilter question and i thought it was so interesting. sample articles/blogs that used this new style were linked to. i would be very appreciative if anyone can find it. thanks.
