editation

Is it possible to get around the tiny, insular nerdcore group of self-satisfied Wikipedia administrators?
I like to write articles, and edit things, but it is very difficult to make anything more than grammar changes without a page lock, to suggest a Featured Article if the article wasn't written by an admin, or generally engage in the democratic ideal of what is truly a beautiful thing. By the way, is the article on Light Sabers still longer than the article on Shakespeare?

This post was deleted for the following reason: ask again without the insults and snark and this would be an okay question for ask metafilter. -- jessamyn

Also, Shakespeare is much longer than lightsabers in article length.
Also, the article length issue is almost comically misleading, because important topics like Shakespeare are really summaries, covered in "Main article:" links that provide in-depth discussion of subtopics.
Also, I'm amazed I've spent this much time responding to this.
