Does this no-code software exist?

I'm wondering if such a no-code platform exists: Self-hosted, FOSS, with simple hosting options available for playing around at <= $15 USD / mo. Ideally I'd run it on a domain I control. Looking to avoid anything enterprise in host or app, like AWS, long toolchains full of white collar devs making changes on behalf of enterprises, etc. Thanks for any suggestions! I know zilch about the no-code world overall.

Just to offer a bit of extra detail, I enjoy using lightweight FOSS web apps, like Textpattern instead of WordPress, SmallBASIC instead of Node, etc. Linux is the preferred OS.

I'd like to try out no-code for one-off online apps, and am wondering if there are any projects that would be sympatico.

Example use-cases would be dashboards for charts maybe...that kind of thing. Definitely nothing huge or complex.

Best answer: I haven't used either of these for a full-scale app, but I've played around a little bit in each of them: Both are open-source and free to self-host. My impressions from trying them out is that they're both minimum-viable products that are trying to gain market share, and are in pretty heavy development. I think that AppSmith had better documention, but I used that one less than ToolJet.

I don't know if these count as "no-code" but they are definitely low-code.

Context: we evaluated these platforms (and also the similar but not-open-source option Retool) at my work for use in an internal app, but we ended up deciding to just build the thing ourselves.

Best answer: No idea how no code* it is but the people at my job who have dashboard-y needs seem to gravitate towards Grafana. It is open source and can be deployed to your hardware.

* I suspect the easiest, no-code-y experiences involve the paid plugins and services offered by Azure and AWS...but like I say, I have no hands on experience.

Response by poster: This has been helpful as I figure out where to get started here, thank you for those answers.
