How to find an Instagram ad I lost OR how to find a dress

Instagram showed me an ad of something I wanted to purchase. I clicked through to the link, put it in my cart, and accidentally x-ed out of it. I can’t remember the name of the company, only the nature of the product, and as there is no browser history or “back” on the inherent IG browser which one is led to by clicking an ad, I can’t find it.

Googling is returning nothing because the words on the item (a dress) are not at all unique, only the design of it. Knowing instagrams algorithms, is there something I could search to try to make the ad come up again? Or is there a better way to search google to sift through all the items with this phrasing on it?

If it matters, it’s a dress made out of T-shirt material that is like a baggy jumper type (no waist), I think it had pockets, has a ufo on it, and reads “get in loser”.

Best answer: You can see ads you recently tapped, so it could be there. Tap on your profile icon in the lower right > three lines in the top right > settings icon in bottom right > ads > ad activity.

Is it this from Hot Topic?

I never shop within Instagram because I always ended up clicking or swiping out accidentally and it drives me nuts!

If you put something in your cart and then X’ed out, my gut tells me that they have tracking for that and you’ll soon see the same dress pop up in your feed “reminding” you to purchase!

Yeah, you’ll likely see another ad pop up for it within the next few days. That’s what’s happened when I’ve done that before

Yeah, the ad will pop up again probably, especially after you've searched for a similar dress. If you want to game the algorithm a bit, make sure to interact with ads for similar items, and it'll come around again pretty quickly.

(Source: I seem to have trained my Insta ads very well over the years, uh, yay?)

This dress? Or this one? They're also from redbubble, but are different than the one KleenexMakesaVeryGoodHat posted above.

Considering the creepy nature of Instagram ads, wherein that thing you once thought about looking for while showering suddenly shows up in your feed, searching for the dress on a few sites online may cause it to come back up in your feed. Even if you don't do that, as others have said, it's very likely that the same ad will pop up again within the next few days to remind you.

Response by poster: Unfortunately none of these links are it, although you can probably see how common this graphic/phrase is on clothing! I am going to try some of these helpful suggestions.
