Does iOS 7 sync with iTunes 10.7

Does iOS 7 (beta) sync to iTunes 10.7 or will iTunes 11.0.x be required? I have held back on upgrading iTunes past 10.7, but I am wondering if I'll be forced to upgrade to 11.0.x once iOS 7 is released. I sync via USB on a Mac with 10.6.8. I'm not inserted in WiFi sync and don't use iCloud.

Best answer: It's hard to answer this question legally since everything iOS 7 is under an NDA until release. However, iOS 6 required iTunes 10.7 when it was released. It would be reasonable to assume that iOS 7 will require iTunes 11.

I have been beyond frustrated for about 6 months now since "upgrading" to iTunes 11. While poking around today looking for an answer to your question, I discovered how to restore the sidebar.

What a relief! It's still not as good as pre-11, because you still can't show more than one view at a time. But nevertheless, just restoring the sidebar removes about 75% of the frustration I've been experiencing. I can now easily move between views, and can see all of the information on items in my playlists like I used to. I just can't easily order podcasts as I drop them into the playlist from my podcast view. I have to go back to the playlist view and organize the podcasts how I want them after I've added the ones I want.

If you find that you must convert to iTunes 11, and if you hate it and want most of the pre-11 functionality, I recommend restoring the sidebar . You can do this either by typing Command-Option-S or by selecting "View" from the top menu bar, and then "Show Sidebar".

I know this isn't exactly the answer you're looking for. Sorry 'bout that. But I hope it helps if the worst case comes to pass.

The version currently available to developers, barring any unforeseen catastrophe, should be the release version. After upgrading to it, I was required to upgrade to the iTunes 11.1 beta in order to keep synching.

For those of us who primarily use iTunes DJ (and find Up Next a really crappy alternative) this is bad news. I'm going to have to look at having two iTunes installs on my machine. Damn.
