Name-that-comedian-filter: saw a guy on Comedy Central 5-10 years ago...
The only thing I remember about him was his schtick of being on the verge of tears, which he kept up for the whole act. Vintage Woody Allen had nothing on this guy's pathos. Needless to say, he was hilarious.
Unfortunately, I think this was on one of those up-and-coming shows (Premium Blend, maybe?), so he might not be well-known. But let me know if this rings a bell.

Best answer: If it is Hotz, he did a Comedy Central Presents episode in 2000. I just rewatched it a few months ago, good stuff.
