How was Sturge-Weber treated in the past?

Where can I find information regarding the treatment of people with Sturge-Weber syndrome prior to recent modern times?
I'm doing an assignment on Sturge-Weber syndrome and need information about how people with the syndrome would have been treated in the past. The academic databases I've looked at really only focus on current treatments, no matter what search terms I use. The Google isn't much help either. Intuitively, I'm thinking there would have been a greater degree of institutionalisation, and different approaches around drugs/surgery, but I need some sources!

Response by poster: 1940's-50's is pretty much as far back as I'm interested. Thanks for the link!
