I'd like it if timemachine went forward

Using Apple timemachine as wifi and backup. Changed IP, can't get timemachine to wifi it. Help?
I have Apple timemachine as my wifi router and changed IP from cable vision to Clear.
Time Machine is not rec'ing the new system, I've unplugged everything and that didin't work. I've hit reset on the timemachine and that didn't work either.
Can you tell me how to make timemachine work with a new IP?
