How do I go about searching for an "internet job?"

How do I go about searching for an "internet job?" Part of the problem is that I don't really know the term for it, but having asked around there may not be one. Basically, I'm looking for postings for anything from professional blogging to community management to content editing.
I'm currently unemployed. I live in Providence, Rhode Island. I know how to search for jobs in my local area, but I figured I should widen my search to include online jobs, as Rhode Island isn't doing so well in the recession. I have been writing a daily World Cup blog for an English-language Icelandic equivalent of the Village Voice, and I've found that I quite enjoy that kind of work. Since the pickings are slim in Rhode Island I thought I should also look for a similar kind of job on the internet, as well as for work in my immediate physical area. However, I can't figure out how to search for them. So here are my questions:
What is the term for this line of work?
What should I Google for?
Are there any websites that specialize in collecting job postings for jobs like that?
I'm not looking for IT or web design work. Though I have some basic HTML skills and can figure out most things of that ilk with a little effort, I don't have the skills necessary to get employment doing that. I'm also not looking for data entry work, since I've learned the hard way that such jobs make me depressed.
Notes: I have a U.S. Green Card so I can work in the United States. I am also an Icelandic citizen, and since Iceland is a member of the European Economic Area, I can work anywhere in the EU.
I only need part-time employment since I have a small income from being a published novelist in Iceland.
I know about the Mechanical Turk, but that't not what I'm looking for.

Best answer: You're looking for copy writing, community management, site management, copyblogging, general web worker, etc. I suggest checking out the tech oriented freelance sites. Try FreelanceSwitch or places like Community Guy's job board. FreelanceSwitch has a section for writing and content management. Keep in mind that most of those sites you will still need to wean out the design/dev freelance positions, and competition is fierce so it's vital to have some web writing/managing experience or at the very least a kick-ass blog to prove your chops.
Keep in mind that a lot of blogs supply their content with pitches or full "cold" article submissions sent in by hopeful writers. If writing is your goal, you may want to beef up your own blog then submit some article pitches to blogs you respect & read.

Dude, it's 2010. The internet has evolved and diversified. Maybe in 1995 you could perform a single, catchall search for an "internet job", but today you are just going to have to slog through specific searches for "professional blogging", "community management" and "content editing". Is it really that hard?

Best answer: Problogger Job Board A very active job post site with many different levels of blogging jobs. It costs 50 bucks to advertise a job on this site so you know there really are jobs behind the postings.

Would you be the right person for game-mastering in a MMO? I know people like you who have gotten very nice jobs at CCP, for instance.

Best answer: Try also looking for "social media" jobs - folks in that niche tend to have skills that you have. Good place to start is over at Mashable.com, or the Mediaite jobs page.
