What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I'm just some guy who thinks AskMe is an invaluable resource. The name comes from feeling a bit embarrassed by some of my own interests and obsessions.

I posted a handful of times here a while back under a different name, 'bailed' because of being a bit oversensitive to a deleted question and accusations of sexism, then couldn't stay away. I started a new account when I realized I couldn't access my old one (it's not a sock puppet, honest), and immediately had another question deleted. At least that deletion was questionable enough to spawn a MetaTalk thread, so I don't feel too bad.

Will I ever figure this place out?

At least I managed to ask at least one question that had a profound effect on improving my life.
