What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

There is some multi-dimensionality to this pseudonym. My father introduced me as a child to the participle "yclept", which means "named", based on a Middle English verb. So when I chose a name to call myself, this naturally came to mind.

"yclept" is a rarity in that it is one of the small number of words which use the letter "y" as a vowel somewhere other than the end of a word, and the only one in which it begins a word.
