What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Back when I gave myself this handle, I thought it would be a good reminder to participate in internet civility.

Various affiliations, interests, areas of expertise: Digital comms, managing events, nonprofits/think tanks, feminism, all things London, history, trivia, rebetiko, KEXP, temperate rain forests, unusual nail polish colours, iznik tiles, petrichor. For someone who loves being warm I sure do like rain. Must be my NW & English background - rust in the blood.
