OutlookFilter: Sync between Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007

OutlookFilter: I sync my Windows Mobile pda with a work computer that uses Outlook 2003 and a home computer that uses Outlook 2007. I'm missing calendar items when I look at Outlook 2007. What gives?
Outlook 2003 seems to be behaving just fine. When I sync the pda with Outlook 2007, items added to the pda by Outlook 2003 don't appear in my calendar. They remain on the pda, which makes me think they are sync-ing, and I just haven't enabled the setting in Outlook 2007 which will allow me to see them. But if that's the case, I certainly can't find the proper setting. Any ideas?

Response by poster: I should probably note that items created in Outlook 2007 are added to the pda.

It is more important to know which Windows version you are using on each, since the settings mentioned by Cat Pie Hurts will either be in ActiveSync (for XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (for Vista).
The settings concerned allow you to limit which appointment categories and/or what range of appointments (how many months of past and future appointments) will be sync'd.
Let us know which OS version you're using, then we can tell you how to get at the settings.

Response by poster: Thanks, blue_wardrobe. I am on Windows XP on both machines.

So it's ActiveSync:
* Use the Options icon to open the Options dialog.
* Select the Sync Options tab.
* Ensure the Calendar icon in the list in the middle of the dialog is checked, select the Calendar icon itself, and then click the Settings... button.
* You can then select the date range involved:
==> make sure you are consistent on both systems
Note: on the most recent version of ActiveSync, I believe the dialog can be accessed slightly differently, depending on the version of Windows Mobile on your PDA. If you can't find it using the above instructions, check the Tools, Options menu.
Let us know how it goes.

Response by poster: I'm using Windows Mobile 5.0 on the pda. I followed the steps you provided, but that doesn't seem to do it. The date range is the same on both systems, but the entries from the pda still won't port to Outlook 2007.

Is it just calendar, or all data types?

Response by poster: Notes and Contacts come over from the PDA just fine. Calendar entries and Tasks do not. (Thanks for asking-- I hadn't noticed that tasks were affected.)
Could this have something to do with date or category settings? The categories seem to be one of the more major changes in 2007.
