What's that indie comic in a tower?

I am trying and failing to place the name of a comic I read the first issue or two of. It was sci-fi/fantasy (magic of a kind was present), had a female lead, and involved crime and mystery in I believe a very tall tower. American creator I think, color, in English, not Marvel or DC. This would have been published certainly in the last ten years, probably 4-5 years ago. Hopefully this vague description rings a bell with someone!
