Extra Space Storage

I need to rent some storage space for about 8 months. A few years ago I had a space with Extra Space Storage. After 3 months they raised the rent. I suspect this is a regular practice of theirs. There is an ESS location convenient to me but I don't want to pay more than the start price. Is there a way to enter a contract with them for a fixed price?

Prepay for 8 months?

I rent from Extra Space and pay for a year at a time to lock in that price. I don't know whether they allow paying for more than a year at a time.

Not only prepay to locking the price, but if you are going to extend it prepay a month or two before they would normally send in the renewal notice, so the rate is locked in before they would normally raise it.
