Through our Real Estate Scavenger Hunt game, we've found yet another object I cannot identify. Can anyone help?

Looks like a dental lamp to me. I don't know why you'd want one in your basement rec room, though...

Looks like it would make a nice task light for lap work like embroidery, cross stitch, or hand quilting.

OR (operating room) Lamp. Or, as yellowcandy said, dental lamp.

It's an OR lamp rather than a dental one. Dental lamps are smaller and shaped differently.

Ok some people might argue that 50,000 - 100,000 lumens is too much for crafting but having struggled with tired eyes and tiny stitches it seems just about right to me.

OH GOD that's definitely an OR lamp. It's giving me a flashback to my c-section when I could see the reflection of my bloody insides in one. Yikes.

Yeah, instantly recognizable as an OR lamp.

We are looking at new lights for our family room, and I would love one of these for doing puzzles. Sort of a "peace dividend" for old eyes!

Vividly do I recall lying on my back staring up into one of those things. I had just given birth, with considerable tearing and cutting, and the doctor was about to start stitching me up. It chose that moment to go out and refuse to be coaxed back into working. He didn't really have enough light to do the stitching without it.

I lay there staring up at it for a long time with the poor man's chin very close to my intimacies and a couple of other not as good but portable lamps moved as close as possible so he could do the job at all.
