best bed sheets

I need new bed sheets. I want a luxurious feel that gets softer with time, made to last, wrinkle resistant (I will never have enough time in my life to iron sheets). I have never tried bamboo sheets. If you have, do you recommend them? I would prefer a (king) set with extra pillowcases also available. I am willing to buy online or locally in Chicago.

I have previously gotten mine from Bloomingdales but they don’t seem to hold up well, sometimes they have odd flaws, despite how expensive they are. I have bought Hudson and Sky (which may both be house brands?).by the way, I wash sheets in cool water on “gentle” and dry on medium, taking out of dryer immediately when dry to fold. Thanks!

Bamboo sheets are truly the best. They are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The are soft yet silky to the touch. These are the only bedsheets that are being used in my household. Since we got them we never use anything else. They are not wrinkle resistant, but not as crinkly as cotton sheets.

These IKEA sheets are really wonderful and feel much more expensive than they are — I’m always recommending them to anyone who will listen. They’re not bamboo but they do contain lyocell which is basically rayon and has a similar cooling effect.

Bamboo sheets are really great as well — my last sheets were a cotton/bamboo blend and they were super cool in the summer.

I thought that bamboo fabric IS rayon, using celulose from bamboo instead of from trees. Not that this should influence your decision.

I have tried all of the Internet's Favorite Sheets and basically anything else at all price points. I happen to not like bamboo, they are soft but to me have a slightly "fake" soft feeling, I don't know I can't explain it. But lots of other people love them so I'm probably the weirdo here.

I continue to return to the Target Threshold 300 TC Ultra Soft Sheets. For $25 you might want to give them a try at least.

Best answer: They are pricy but I loooooooove Cuddledown sheets. I think we have the percale but they have a ton of options and held up really well.

Best sheets I've ever slept on were linen and made in Australia by In Bed. Also, no one cares if your sheets are wrinkled.

Our bamboo sheet set is comfortable, but I will say that the top sheet NEVER stays tucked, possibly due to the slipperiness of the fabric.

I hate bamboo sheets. They feel sweaty and sleep hot, like polyester. Maybe I got some bad ones. For me, it's nothing but cotton percale (I haven't tried linen yet.)

My advice is to pick anything 100% cotton percale that's over 300 threadcount at Macy's (or equivalent.) They're all basically the same. They don't get super wrinkled if you take them out of the dryer promptly, and if you don't, the wrinkles relax when they're on the bed.

Another bamboo sheet hater here. There was something ... sleazy ... about the ones I got, and I donated them right away. I take my sheets out of the dryer while they are still pretty damp, shake them, and put them on the bed. No wrinkles!
