Looking for in-drawer knife block that fits ~6" knives in the upper tier

We're looking for an in-drawer multi-tier (example) knife block that will store knives with ~6" blades (such as the Wustof Classic Utility 6") in the upper tier. Any suggestions?

We don't own steak knives so if we could only store our paring knives in the upper tier we'd have a lot of empty slots. We have several knives with 5-6" blades that it would be great to store in the upper tier to give us more room for large knives in the lower one.

Most such blocks don't say the maximum length knife that will fit in the upper tier but based on the pictures it seems unlikely these midsize knives will fit in the ones I've found.

Ideally the knife block would support ~7 knives in the upper tier and ~7 knives in the lower tier but we could easily buy, e.g., 2 smaller blocks and use them side by side.

We'd prefer a multi-tier knife block because we have pretty long drawers and would rather use up more length and have more width left over for other things. The drawer's dimensions are 13.5" W x 21" L x 4" H.

Best answer: I’ll have to find my knife block as we are still unpacking from moving, but I think we have the one you linked and it’s not perfect but works pretty well for our wusthof sandwich knife (very similar to that utility knife) and our kitchen aid brand small Santoku.

Best answer: I have the knife block you link to. My old Wüsthof Classic 16cm utility knife—which I assume corresponds to the 6”—fits in the top tier ok… the handle’s pommel hangs over the edge, but it doesn’t interfere with the utility of the base tier. FWIW, I suspect that a Wusthof Classic 12cm is the largest that they intended the top row to house.

Best answer: Here's a photo to illustrate. At the right end of the upper tier are the 9cm, 12cm and 16cm Wüsthof Classics.

Response by poster: Thank you both, that's very helpful. I will go ahead and get that one then!
