Recommend a bathroom sink faucet?

In addition to being hard to operate (handles are difficult to turn), the sink faucet is poorly designed and gets water all over the vanity. Please help me replace it.

I want to replace this widespread faucet and will need a faucet with a deck plate (?) to cover the two holes where the handles are now. Looking for a one-handled model that extends forward over the sink so that I don't get water all over the area with my wet hands. Kind of like this, but with a deck plate.

I also want to install this sink strainer/stopper.

This is a rental so nothing too terribly expensive ... I do have a friend who can help me put it in. Suggestions/advice much appreciated. Thanks!

This one is attractive and extends over the bowl. Includes deck plate.

Fwiw, you can also just get little covers for the extra holes (example found in 6-second Google search), and then you don't need to worry about the deck plate part.

Lots of faucets come with a deck plate so don't worry too much about that. I prefer taller ones that you can put your hands under like the one xtinehutch posted. I have a tall waterfall one, with the open top, and that look is sort of out of date now (mine is probably 10 years old) but it still gets compliments from everyone who uses my guest bath the first time.

Response by poster: Wound up with this one from Overstock ... the deck plate wasn't wide enough. Fortunately, the existing faucet decided to completely break. So maintenance installed it for me and put matching covers over the other two holes. It's SUCH an improvement. Thanks for your help!
