Help me find this fantasy comic

Here's what I remember: there's multiple nations of magical creatures. One plotline centers around faeries/elves and there's political intrigue around some type of council and maybe an assassination? I have a clear memory of vampires who are fascists and have zeppelins and are about to invade another nation--I think that's the cliffhanger ending. The whole thing might be one of those post-apoc, magic erupts into our world stories or could be an alternate world. Anyone know what comic this is?

Can you give us any physical details? ie do you remember if it was B&W or colour; was it online or paper; was it digest-size or comic-book size? That sort of thing.

Response by poster: Sure, it was definitely in color and a paper copy. Almost certainly it was digest size.
