Seeking modern, compact, and functional home-office desk

I’m looking for suggestions for a new desk in my home office. Details after the jump.
I really like my current desk but I’d like to purchase something a little higher in quality and more visually attractive.
Aspects I like about my current desk:
-L-shaped
-different levels of surfaces to accommodate a monitor at eye level, a keyboard at typing level, and a work surface at writing level
-maximizes working surfaces while minimizing size (in an L-shaped configuration, the desk is approximately 48” x 48”)
I don’t mind paying to have a desk shipped, but the vendor needs to ship in/to Canada.

It's not heirloom furniture, but it's very well-made for what it is (hollow-core, flat-packed, etc.). Not sure what your budget range is, but if it's sub-$1K and you like the style, I'd definitely take a look at this company (Monarch).
I use monitor stands to bring my monitors up to eye level -- I have 2 24" monitors on stands, and the desk still feels very spacious.
