Low roller wants low prices for Vegas trip

I have always heard that one can fly to Vegas and back inexpensively, and stay and eat cheaply while there. Is that so? How would one find the best deals? I have no particular interest in gambling (well, maybe drop $50), but many things nearby interest me.

The best reviews for cheapskates are at cheapo vegas. Here you'll find deals and writings about Golden Gates $3 shrimp cocktails and $25 rooms. Downtown is where everything is crazy cheap.

If you make lots of trips or are local, Anthony Curtis's Las Vegas Advisor is great.

It helps when you go... I spent Christmas Eve/day there a couple years ago and hotels were incredibly cheap.

To note, Vegas is incredibly cheap at Christmas, but prices will skyrocket toward New Year's.
